Hello Mikko. One of my favorite colors. looks very good. Have fun with the ascona. Regards, Stefan
Hello
Looks like this is a very popular color.
But my Ascona is the only one in this color that I have seen.

Welcome Mikko
Nice to see a poison green coloured Ascona A in the hometown of Volvo and Saab...
How did you get the Ascona?? Did he always run in your homecountry?? And with your colour you'll get one of the biggest friends from Björnieboy Teufelsrochen....which means "Devilsray!" What about your engine? You want a 2.0 with Double Carburators?? Then you need more than a 36 Weber....it is too small. I think a 45 Weber is the "must have" for this engine.
Nice greetings from Germany
Michael
Thank you.The Ascona was sold new here in Sweden.
The last 2 or 3 years it has been standing outside without anyone taking care of it so I contacted the owner and bought it.About the engine, just to begin with I will use a standard 2.0 from a Rekord E1 and replace the original carburator with ONE 36/36.
Later I will probably build another engine with 2 Weber 45. -
Beautiful Color . Do you want to restore the Ascona in original shape (without enigine and gearbox) or do you want to tune it up a little bit?
I hope you can understand my english ?
@ Yogi
It will look original. I think they look best in original shape.
Yes, the color is

Great colour!!!!!
I knew you would like it. -
A few pictures of an Ascona that I'm restoring.
Sunroof is original. Will strip it down completely to fix all the rust and then paint it.
Motor will be a 2.0 with Weber 32/36 and 4-speed gearbox. -
Use a saw and cut the pipe.
I'll do that some day.
-
New pictures taken today.
I have painted it black behind the grill. And no, I have not done anything to the exhaust pipe yet.
-
Thank you.
I will do something about the endpipe, but first I have some rust that needs to be welded.
-
Black frames around the headlights.

New pictures taken today.

That is a bit too much for my Ascona.
Was thinking more of an original exhaust with a straight endpipe. -
Andi: The snow won't be a problem, I never drive the car during the winter.
On the pictures I just took it outside the garage to clean the garage. But I don't want it too low anyway, maybe 40mm lower or so.
Achill: Thank you. But no big extensions or snow tires on this one.
And I will probably do something about the exhaust too, I also prefer a straight endpipe. -
I have been thinking about if I should keep this car original as it is now or lower it and put some 7X13 wheels on it.
What do you guys think? Original or lowered?
-
Andi: We probably have 60cm of snow.
-
The Ascona is out breathing fresh air while I cleaned the garage.
-
Hello Andi.
Cool Manta. Actually I think I've seen that one for sale last year.

I would like to see pictures of Ascona A's with 4-doors.

Hi and thank you.I have only seen one more Ascona A with the same color, it's also a Swedish 4-door Ascona -75.
